PRAISE OUR EXPECTATIONS
Congratulations! We (my wife, Joi, and I) have been waiting a long time for a GS-specific version of Softdisk to come out. We read a while ago that you guys were working on it, but kind of lost faith. To actually see it is great! I must say that, whatever expectations we had for a GS version, they have been completely met. And we thought we might not see anything new for the GS at AppleFest. You guys proved me wrong. It took me about 2 seconds to sign up for a 3 month trial subscription!
Now the critique:
1. The [Home Page] Icons:
We love 'em. Every one makes a move when clicked on. Gosh, can you do this everytime? What fun!
2. The Softdisk title screen:
"Best apple I ever saw," says Joi. Excellent!
3. Readers letters and other written stuff:
Just text, but all right. However, can you maybe get someone to proofread a little? I'd sure hate to see my worsst typpos snow up on Softdisk.
4. The Copy Feature:
Thanks for including this feature. It's real nice to be able to copy the programs to other disks this way.
5. PROGRAMS--the real reason we bought Softdisk G-S:
SAM
Probably the best text adventure set up we've ever seen. We were quite surprised by the quality.
QUICKTIME DA
Pure GS kinda stuff. Great for those who don't already have a DA like this. Keep trying for those of us who do.
KEYBOARD FONT
More GS System stuff. We won't use this much, but it's nice to have a choice.
JUKEBOX
Great sound! Please do some more tunes. We especially liked "Moonlight Sonata."
MEASURE FOR MEASURE
OK. Someday we may need to clip this info into a letter for Grandma. Or our child-to-be may print it out when he wants to impress the teacher. (You can tell we're trying hard on this one, can't you?)
BEACHHEAD V
A lot of fun! We look forward to more courses in the future.
CLIP ART
To be fully usable, I think the art needs to be in color and bigger.
That's it. We really enjoy seeing this stuff on a IIgs using GS graphics and sound. Great job! We will for sure be getting a subscription. Thanks!
Raymond Ross
Reno, NV
:) Thanks, Raymond! You probably won't see Mean 18 courses for a while. Our submitter left us hanging for G-S #2, so unless we produce one...

That's all we have room for this month. Keep those cards and letters coming.
